GD Mother F-er
I love my after school phonics kids. Everyday they greet me with a "Hello Teacha", a wave and sometimes a handshake. Ranging from Grades 1-3, they are my most rambunctious students but their excitement amuses me and they are so adorable! HOWEVER, sometimes they are too excited. Today this was the case. They would not listen, they kept hitting each other and yelling. Even the ones that always behave could not focus. I kept losing my patience going over the different letters of the alphabet that sound the same. The students would repeat after me "B V B V B V" until one of my devil children would throw something and then giggles would break out. I could feel my blood pressure steadily rising. Right when I was about to give up and end the lesson early I started with the last letters. I found it comforting and ironic that the letters I ended with were "G D". I laughed inside; I got some satisfaction as the children repeated loudly after me and without knowing it, they helped me savage what little sanity I had left for the day. GD, I am glad this day is over!
