I was hungry but short on funds so I went to the corner convenience store. There were bundles of bananas on the counter.
Me: Hello.
Clerk: How-may-I-help-you?
Me: Is it possible to get one banana?
Clerk: For-you, anything-is-possible.
Me: OK. How much will that be?
Clerk: For-you, twenty-five-cents.
Me: Twenty-five cents? THANKS!
Clerk: Anytime. Please-come-back-again.
Me: I will!
That clerk made my day!
I stepped outside and looked up to see the store's name: My Favorite Deli & Grocery. Yep.
My Favorite Deli & Grocery on the corner of 5th Ave & 13th St in Park Slope.
