Sleeper Bus

I took a sleeper bus along the Vietnam coast to Hoi An. It's suitable that my photos are blurry; the trip was part dreamy, part nightmarish.







Dreamy
Landscape-Rice paddies, palm trees, green fields with long fluttering grass, mountains, South China Sea; words (nor photos) do justice.
iPod-The best from Radiohead, Sia, The Cure, The Shins and Ryan Adams.
Peeps-I met a Scottish chick on the 7th month of an Around the World trip. I picked her brain and spent the rest of the night planning my own trip.
Seat-From Saigon to Nha Trang, I had a reclinable seat with plenty of leg room.
Food-Tangy oranges from the fruit stand.
Nightmarish
Landscape-Two lane highway full of motorbikes, buses, vans, bicycles.
iPod-Some outlandish Korean Pop music at 7 AM.
Peeps-Some bearded fellow got into a physical fight with the bus driver WHILE HE WAS DRIVING. He was arrested when we arrived in Hoi An this morning. ALSO, a very sweet Vietnamese woman quizzed me on why I was not married yet.
Seat-From Nha Trang to Hoi An, I was in the last narrow bed, where I felt every curve, stop and bump in the road.
Food-No time for a proper dinner...just Ritz crackers.

I didn't really sleep but I had a full moon to keep me company the whole night.
