Bamboo everywhere! Fences, sidewalks, cups, bowls. There was an interpreter at the exhibition site. Unfortunately, she did not explain the penis statue wearing a bamboo hat.
We had really beautiful weather the whole weekend. It was Buddha's birthday so all the places we went to were pretty crowded. It was fun people watching-LOTS of Korean picture taking and LOTS of couples in matching outfits. Also, LOTS of staring at the big, white woman but what's new? I went with my co-teachers so I hope that listening to Korean the whole weekend has put me at an advantage in my language class. However, I am not sure that my Korean language class will be impressed with the translation for "poop time".
